Keeping your dog happy, calm, and stimulated can be very stressful and even tiring.

You give them treats, take them for walks, but nothing seems to be working. Well, you’re not alone. In fact, this is a very common issue, and there are some simple, yet very effective solutions, many of which you can do with the things you have at your own loving home.

So, let's get right into them.

  1. Puppy Pretzel: This one is very quick and easy to make. First, grab a towel that you don’t mind getting dirty, second, lay it flat and scatter some treats on the towel, then roll up the towel and tie it up to make it a little harder for them to get. After that, give them the treat pretzel and watch them stay stimulated for a looong time.

  2. Ball Pit Treat Party: For this one, you’re going to need an empty kiddie pool, and a lot of balls! All you’re going to do is fill the pool with balls and then sprinkle treats over the balls. When your pup gets in to try and get the treats, the balls will shift, and the treats will move! This is a more challenging but very rewarding activity for your pup.

  3. Sprinkler Fun: Put a sprinkler on a dry part of your lawn and watch them enjoy themselves while burning a bunch of calories. This is a great way to keep your dog stimulated while keeping them cool on a hot day.

Pawfect addition: Fill a kiddie pool with water, put it near the sprinkler, and watch them jump in and entertain themselves for hours.

  1. Modified Fetch: Don’t think we forgot about the older pups! If your pup can't get around as good as he/she used to, modified fetch is the game for you. Instead of throwing the ball, you roll it so your pup has an easier time retrieving it. And if you want to make it even better, use a ball in the shape of an octagon, so it doesn't roll as far and as fast as a sphere would.

  2. Bubble Bursting: Get yourself a bottle of nontoxic bubbles for kids, and blow a couple for your pup. You can pop a few to show him/her how it's done and then sit back and watch your pup jump around bursting bubbles.

BONUS:

Playing these games with your pup would be so fun, but imagine your pup playing these games with other pups too! Double or even triple the fun!

So feel free to book a daycare stay for your pup to socialize and play with his/her friends!
